After releasing a 6 reel version, Novomatic has had a second bite at their fortune-themed series with Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe 10. This sequel is played using 2 different reel sets which combine to offer 100 paylines. There’s also a feature round where you can win 20 free spins with wilds that copy and expand to equivalent positions on the other reels. Play on your PC, tablet or mobile devices from between 10p and £100 per spin.
The action in Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe 10 takes place on 2 sets of reels. To the left is a 5 reel, 4 row set up which offers 25 paylines. A further 75 paylines are in play from the expanded 12 row machine to the right. They spin independently and combine to offer 100 paylines.
If the set-up is a little unusual, the design is pure Novomatic. The plain white reels include A to 10 royal values plus a selection of objects related to the fortune theme. You’ll see horse shoes, gold coins, 4 leaf clovers, rabbit’s foot and a field filled with ladybirds. The latter 2 symbols spin in stacked formation and can fill whole reels. Land 3, 4 or 5 ladybird symbols and you’ll receive a payout of 0.5, 1 or 5 times your bet.
The blonde-haired Lucky Lady is the wild. She substitutes for everything apart from the crystal ball scatter too. She too spins in 4 high stacks in the small reel set. If you fill a whole reel with wilds on the left-hand machine, the wild copies and fills the whole of the equivalent reel on the expanded reels – this is the Wilds Transfer feature.
The other main feature here is the Free Games feature which is triggered by landing 3, 4 or 5 scatters over both sets of reels. These scatters can land on reels 1, 3 or 5 only. After receiving a payout of 2, 5 or 20 times your bet, you’ll also receive 8, 12 or 20 free spins. If a wild lands on the smaller reels, it expands to fill the whole of the reel. It also copies and fills the whole of the reels on the bigger set.
At first glance, Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe looks like a real departure for Novomatic. The 2 reels sets are a little unusual but the design and gameplay are pure Novomatic. This isn’t as volatile as many Novomatic video slots though as the variance is in the low to medium range.
The first outing for the Lucky Lady’s Charm Deluxe and her charms proved popular. The 100 payline version doesn’t do it for me as you can only win 500 times your bet on each spin/free spin. I would stick to more volatile offerings from the Austrian developer like Eye of the Dragon and Dragon’s Deep.
