The designers at Playtech have kept things very simple in Stars Ablaze. You might expect the odd fiery flourish given the title but the design is very stripped back. The plain white reels include a selection of typical fruit machine symbols.
The smallest paying symbols are the cherries which award up to 40 coins per payline. They’re followed by the lemons and oranges which award 100 and 200 coins respectively if you land 5 in a line. The plums pay up to 400 coins with the melons awarding up to 800 coins. Next comes the lucky red 7. Land 5 of these for a 2,000-coin haul.
Best of the lot is the star which pays 15, 100, 500 or a whopping 7,500 coins if you land 2, 3, 4 or 5 in combination. There’s also a wild – it doesn’t offer any pays in its own right but it does replace all other symbols apart from the bonus.
The game’s only feature, the Blazing Bonus feature, is triggered by landing the bonus symbol on reels 1, 3 and 5 on the same spin. You’ll then head to a new screen and start the pick me round. You’ll first get to choose from the selection of 6 lemons. Find a cash prize and you’ll progress to the next level.
You’ll then choose from 5 oranges. Again, find a cash prize to move to the next level. Keep progressing and you’ll eventually pick from 4 plums, 3 melons and 2 stars. The round continues until you find a collect.
Stars Ablaze certainly isn’t aimed at video slot players who are after high spec visuals and funky features. You won’t find any of that here. This is a super simple machine. It does offer some decent potential rewards though and the picks round, basic though it is, can deliver too.
