Look out too for wild multipliers that can combine to create enormous payouts of 10,000 times your total stake. Stakes start at just a penny, rising to £900 per spin.
There’s not too much a developer can do with the design of a classic fruity but the visuals are nice and crisp and there’s a bouncing soundtrack playing in the background. It’s all rather glossy. On the reels you’ll see single, double and treble bars as well as red and green lucky 7s.
They’re joined by 2x, 3x, 4x and 5x multipliers – when these form part of a winning line, that’s how much the payout is boosted. Better still is if you land more than 1 multiplier on the same spin as the payouts can really start to spiral. The 2x wilds can hit on all 3 reels. The 3x, 4x and 5x wild multipliers appear on the middle reel only.
Land a hat-trick of 2x multipliers and your reward will be a payout of 1,000 times your bet. A 2x-3x-2x combo delivers 1,500x with 2x-4x-2x awarding 2,000 times your bet. The perfect combination is the 2x-5x-2x – in that happy event, you’ll pocket 10,000 times your bet.
The main feature on offer here is the Royal Respin feature – this is triggered by landing a wild multiplier on the central position of the middle reel. The wild (or wilds) from the triggering spin are held during the respin giving you a better chance to land a winner with multiple wilds.
Don’t expect much in the way of bonus features here. The only extra is the Royal Respin feature – you’ll see those multiplier wilds on the middle reels regularly though which means plenty of respins.
Playtech has kept things nice and simple here and by and large it works well. Royal Respin Deluxe won’t be one for you if you like your games to come with plenty of backstory. For basic fruity action that can deliver a decent payout punch, then it does the job rather well. I would much rather play more modern video slots like Raiders of the Hidden Realm and Terminator Genisys (both by Playtech).
