NextGen Gaming Venice Magic Video Slot Review

Venice Magic: Demo

One of the world’s most beautiful cities is the setting for Venice Magic. Powered by NextGen Gaming and Side City Studios, it’s a 5 reel, 25 payline video slot that comes with stacked and multiplier wilds as well as a bonus round that awards up to 15 free spins with multipliers that can boost payouts by up to 10x. Stakes range from 25p to £50 per spin.

The base game action in Venice Magic is all about the wilds – there are 2 sets of special wilds that can trigger at random on any base game spin. If the Tower Wilds are active, 1 or 2 reels will be filled with stacked wilds for that spin.

The second randomly activated extra is the Joker Wild – this can add between 1 and 4 Joker Wilds to the reels on the spin that follows. If the Joker Wild forms part of a winning combination, that payout is boosted by a 2x multiplier and doubled.

More interesting still is the Zodiac Wheels feature which is triggered by landing the Zodiac Wheel symbol on reels on reels 2, 3 and 4 on the same spin. You’ll then offered the chance to spin a 3-level wheel.

This will determine whether you receive 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 or 15 free spins. The next wheel will decide whether a 2x, 3x or 5x multiplier will be applied to all of winning spins in the feature. The final wheel will activate Tower Wilds or Joker Wilds throughout the feature.

If you land the Tower Wilds, you can look forward to 1 or 2 stacked wilds on each free spin. If you get the Joker Wilds, then winners containing the Joker are doubled. This is in addition to the normal multiplier on offer. If you landed the 2x multiplier and then hit a Joker win, the payout is boosted by 4x. At 3x they become 6x and at 5x Joker wins rocket by 10x.

Wilds are central to most of the best action on offer in Venice Magic. The pair of wild extras certainly stir the pot in the base game. The action can really motor in the bonus round though where a good combination of free spins, multipliers and wilds can lead to some magical action indeed. I suggest you take a look at WMS Gaming’s Hearts of Venice if you like the location.
