Unusual gameplay isn’t something we usually write about when describing a video slot from Novomatic. That’s just what you’ll find in One Hundred to One though. On the reels you’ll see just 2 paying symbols. As well as the blank 0 you’ll see the $, a bar and Free Spins symbol spinning around the reels.
Winning combinations are created by landing 5 matching symbols in 1 of the game’s 100 paylines. There’s nothing for a 3 or 4 symbol combo. Land 5 $ symbols and you’ll receive 0.3 times your total bet. Land 5 bars and you’ll receive 0.5 times your total bet. They don’t sound like impressive payouts. With such a limited number of symbols spinning around the reels and 100 paylines, it’s possible to get some chunky combinations.

One Hundred to One is a simple but rather strange video slot. The visuals have a real old school, one armed bandit feel. The action in the base game plays out to Novomatic’s unmistakable bangs and bleeps backing track but morphs into a nice slice of Americana in the Free Spins feature.
The gameplay is very straightforward. Given the large number of paylines and the small number of symbols, you can expect plenty of winning spins and small wins. The bonus round can have its moments though, especially if you get on a good run of re-triggers and get the multipliers high early on.
We expect One Hundred to One will be something of an acquired taste. If you’re after an old school blast with a hint of the US of A, then that’s what’s on offer in One Hundred to One. Unfortunately the payouts don’t match the unusual gameplay so it’s not a video slot we will be returning too.
