Blade Video Slot review

Blade is another of the Marvel Series slot games which have been produced by Playtech. The video slot features 5 reels and 50 paylines and is based on the Blade move made famous by star Wesley Snipes who is a super hero vampire hunter. Playable from 50p a spin, this game is about the Free Games feature and Split symbol which can give you combinations of 6! The game uses the new Turbo Mode feature which allows you to spin the reels extremely quickly (good for me personally).

On to the features and firstly on to the Free Games feature which is triggered by getting 3 or more Blade logo symbols anywhere on the reels. You will receive 15 free spins with a dynamic multiplier meaning that every free spin will be subject to a random multiplier of 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x.

When you have a winning free spin, the multiplier increases by 1 up to 5x. If you don’t have a winning free spin, the multiplier goes down by 1 (to no lower than 2x). You can also trigger more free spins indefinitely which is good. I’ve have quite a few free spins with a high multiplier which has resulted in 150+ stake wins.

What makes blade interesting is the Blade Symbol Split feature which is available in both the base game and Free Games feature. When the split symbol appears on the 5th reel after a spin, the last symbol in a winning combination splits into 2 and counts as 2 identical symbols. This means that you can have combinations of 6! If you were to get 6 Wesley Snipes wild symbols, you would win a whopping 25,000 times your stake!

This is similar in concept to IGT’s Cats slot which is a classic and land-based favourite. It’s not my favourite Marvel slot to be honest with The Avengers, Spider-Man Attack of the Green Goblin and The Incredible Hulk also ones I tend to go to on a frequent basis.
