Yggdrasil Gaming’s Wild Robo Factory Video Slot Review

Wild Robo Factory: Demo

A future world that’s dominated by robots is the setting for Wild Robo Factory. Created by Yggdrasil Gaming, it’s a cracking looking 5 reel, 25 payline video slot where symbols move across a conveyor belt rather than spinning in. Look out for Robo wilds that can award respins and 2x multipliers. There are also symbol swaps and a free spins round where up to 15 extra Robos are added. Play this medium variance game on your PC, tablet or mobile from between 25p and £125 per spin.

Design is obviously very important for the Yggdrasil Gaming developers and they’ve created another fantastic looking game in Wild Robo Factory. The setting is a robot factory floor that’s populated by a dozen mechanical servants. They sweep in on a conveyor belt rather than falling down as you’d usually expect. There’s a decent range of extras here too.

Symbol Swap feature – on any spin, 1 lower value symbol can be picked at random. All instances of this symbol anywhere on the reels then morph into the same higher value symbol. A new payout calculation the follows.

Robo Respin feature – this is triggered when 1 of the 3 wild Robo symbols appears on reels 3, 4 or 5. The Robo symbols shift 1 position to the left with each respin. They can come with a 2x multiplier attached. These wilds can vary in size too, ranging from 1×1 singles up to 2×4. There’s also a Free Spins Robo. This 1x symbol also awards a respin. Land 3 or more of them on the same spin and you’ll trigger the Robo Free Spins feature.

Robo Free Spins feature – land 3, 4 or 5 Free Spins Robo symbols on the same spin to activate the free spins. You won’t receive a set number of free spins. Instead, you’ll receive an allocation of Robo Wilds. You’ll get 5, 10 or 15 of them for 3, 4 or 5 Free Spin Robos on the triggering spin.

These are added to reels 3, 4 or 5 then shift across the conveyor belt. The round continues until all the Robos has disappeared off the edge of reel 1. Hope for a malfunction on the conveyor belt which triggers the System Overload feature. This reverses the direction of the conveyor belt and sends Robos back by between 1 and 9 positions. This results in extra free spins.

Good design and innovative gameplay are regular attributes of Yggdrasil Gaming video slots and you’ll find both here. The sound and visuals are top notch as usual. The respins and the free spins offer something a little different too. Mix all that together and the strange Wild Robo Factory becomes a playable and entertaining option. Especially considering that you can win 2,878 times your bet on every spin. If you want robots though, RoboCop or Terminator Genisys (both by Playtech) shouldn’t be missed.
