Thunderkick Raven’s Eye Slot Review

Raven’s Eye: Demo

Mysterious birds can help you fly off with plenty of coins in Raven’s Eye, an unusual 5 reel, 30 payline video slot from Thunderkick. Look out for the Raven symbol which has magical transforming properties. Trigger the Bonus Game feature and collect magical orbs to fill meters which can bring even more transforming symbols into play. Stakes range from between 10p and £100 per spin.

Thunderkick games don’t disappoint when it comes to design and Raven’s Eye is as easy on the senses as you’d hope. There’s a mediaeval feel to the visuals. The 5×4 reels are set within a stone, castle-like building. The stone blocks spinning around those reels feature A to 10 royal values as well as 4 colourful orbs. Top of the payers is the mysterious hooded woman who will get you a payout of 1, 2 or 12.5 times your bet if you land 3, 4 or 5 on 1 of the game’s 30 paylines. Helping to create those winning combinations is the golden W which is the wild. This can land on all 5 reels and deliver awards like the female Druid.

Central to the action here is the Raven of the game’s title. These magical birds transform into the same symbol when they hit to create new winning combinations. This is called the Raven Mystery Symbols feature.

Landing a raven on 3 or more reels on the same spin triggers the Bonus Game feature – you’ll then receive at least 9 free spins. Look out for special orbs that are attached to the Raven. Every time 1 of these hits, its collected in its symbol meter.

Once a meter is filled with orbs, it turns a standard symbol into a transforming symbol just like the magical Raven. You’ll also see 3 extra free spins added to your tally. You could end up with all low value symbols being mystery symbols which will ultimately lead to bigger payouts.

Thunderkick has kept things pretty straightforward here. There’s nothing overly complicated about the gameplay. The transforming Raven symbols fly into play often enough to keep things interesting. It’s the Bonus Game feature where the best opportunities arise.

Turn multiple symbols into transformers to join the Raven and you can fly away with some decent hauls. We found the feature to be a real feast or famine affair though. Saying that, you can pocket 1,761 times your bet overall. As usual for a Thunderkick game, we’ve no grumbles about the design which is A+.

The range of extras might be limited but Raven’s Eye still offers some pretty flighty action and is certainly worth a look if you like Thunderkick video slots. The superb Dragon Horn (from Thunderkick) should also be considered.
