Wild Chase: Tokyo Go Video Slot Review

Wild Chase: Tokyo Go: Demo

Expect plenty of high-octane action in Wild Chase: Tokyo Go, a video slot based on Quickspin’s gang of blingy cat burglars. If the design is as glossy as you’d expect, the gameplay is rather unusual. Winning spins trigger respins with the winning symbols shifting one reel to the left on an expanded game engine. Land 4 straight wins to trigger a streak respin. Play this volatile from between 20p and £100 per spin.

Classy sound & visuals

As usual for a Quickspin video slot, there’s nothing to grumble about as far as design is concerned in Wild Chase: Tokyo Go. The comic book-style visuals are terrifically well done. The skyscrapers in the background, flashy sports car racing down a motorway and thumping backing track create a cracking atmosphere. On the reels you’ll see bottles of champagne, diamond rings, luxury watches, stacks of gold bars, pouches full of gemstones and the 4 members of the Wild Chase gang. The flame-haired woman and the dandyish man are the top payers. They both award 5 times your total bet if you land 5 in combination. There’s also a wild.

Unusual game engine

The action in Wild Chase: Tokyo Go starts on a 3x3x4x4x5 reel set. These combine to offer 76 ways to win. Land a winner and the Respin until you Win feature comes into play. The winning symbols from the triggering spin shift 1 reel to the left and a new payout calculation is made on an expanded set of reels that offers 90 ways to win. Successive respin wins expand the reels still further. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th respins play out on 154, 164 or 259 ways to win machines.

Super Respin feature

Land 4 wins in a row and you’ll trigger the Super Respin feature. Rather than shifting to the left, the winning symbols from the previous spin lock in position. A respin then follows. The respins keep on coming as long as a new matching symbol or wilds joins the winning cluster. The reels revert to their standard 76 ways to win state once this round is over.

Fast-paced action

You’d hope that a video slot with the heist theme would deliver plenty of action and Wild Chase: Tokyo Go doesn’t disappoint. The gameplay is certainly unusual but a good run of respins to activate the Super Respin can really get things moving.

We enjoyed the first outing from the Wild Chase gang and this is a worthy successor. It can take a little getting used to but with potential awards of 2,757 times your bet on each respin, this is an Asian adventure that’s worth considering.
