Quickspin Sevens High Video Slot Review

Sevens High: Demo

Game developer Quickspin has taken the classic one-armed bandit and given it a good shake to create Sevens High. A first glance, this 5 reel, 10 payline game looks like a simple fruity. It comes with plenty of extras though including respins following every winning spin, extra wilds and a free spins round. Play on all devices from between 25p and £100 per spin.

The theme here might be the humble old fruit machine but Quickspin has still managed to create a lovely looking game – it’s simple yes, but all the symbols are super crisp and clear. You’ll see plums, lemons, oranges and cherries, bells and stars followed by green, red and blue 7s. There’s also a wild that offers awards of up to 20 times your stake.

There are a couple of extras on offer in Sevens High which make it stand out from your common or garden fruit machines. First up is the Sevens High Respin feature which is awarded following every winning spin. Hope to get on a roll with these respins as they bring extra, and very lucrative, wilds into play.

After 2 winning spins in a row, the blue 7 turns wild. Another 2 wins on the bounce and the green 7 turns wild too. Land 2 more wins and the red 7 joins the party as well. These wilds offer awards of 20 times your stake if you land 5 on a line. You can keep track of how many wins and wilds you have via the meter to the side of the reels. After a losing spin, the 7s revert back to their normal state and meter resets to zero.

The second feature on offer here is the Free Spins feature – 10 free spins are awarded if you land 3 bonus symbols on the same spin. You can turn the 7s wild during the free spins round too. After landing 2 wins in a row, 2 free spins are added to your total. You can add up to 6 more free spins here. You can also retrigger the feature to give you 10 more free spins and 26 in total potentially.

Fans of classic fruit machines should find plenty to like here. The design is excellent and the respins, extra wilds and free spins offer plenty of action. Sevens High isn’t a very volatile video slot though. We found the variance to be in the low to medium range with top wins of 811 times your bet on each spin.

If you’re looking for a classic one-armed bandit style video slot that still offers something fresh then Sevens High is a pretty good place to start. I would also recommend you try Second Strike by Quickspin which is simple but more volatile.
