Playtech Mr Cashback Video Slot Review

Mr Cashback: Demo

Mr Cashback Video Slot review

Mr Cashback is a popular video slot with 5 reels and 15 paylines. Created by Playtech, it’s based on the generous Mr Cashback character which gives you cashback for non-paying paylines. Spin away for 15p a spin to £750 a spin, there’s a 7,500 coin jackpot on offer if you get 5 Mr Cashback wild symbols anywhere on the reels.

There’s a Free Games feature which you initiate if you get 3 or more Mr Cashback logo scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. You are then awarded with 12 free spins with a 2x multiplier as well as the Random Freezing Wilds feature. Extra free spins cannot be triggered though.

Whilst it’s great that you have 12 free spins with wins doubled, the Random Freezing Wilds feature is what it’s all about. Basically, between 0 and 5 symbols will turn into wilds every free spin. That’s not all – these wilds will remain frozen for up to 4 spins too. If you’re lucky, you can have lots of wilds for most of the free spins which can really help getting big wins.

The main and unique appeal of this slot is the Mr Cashback feature – this is only active during the main/base game and can be very lucrative. Basically, if an active payline doesn’t give you a win in 50 consecutive spins, you will be rewarded with 50 times your stake on that particular payline.

This is great for those paylines that don’t give you a win. On the side of the game, you will see the payline number displayed. As there is no win per spin, this accumulates and you see the number filling up (yellow to orange to red). This feature has a memory so if you decide to play the game another time, it will be saved.

When the cashback feature is triggered, Mr Cashback will pop on the screen and reveal the cashback you’ve won as well as show you the payline you’ve won it on. I love this feature as it’s something back. Mr Cashback is a medium variance slot which looks a little old if you ask me. It’s not the worst Playtech slot but by no means one of the better titles. You should try Gladiator, The Mummy and The Avengers which give you a range of volatility.
