Playson Alice in Wonderslots Slot Review and Free Play

Alice in Wonderslots: Demo

Playson’s take on Lewis Carroll’s surreal stories comes in the form of Alice in Wonderslots. It’s a volatile 5 reel, 20 payline game that comes with expanding Alice symbols and a bonus feature that awards up to 40 free spins. Play on all devices from between 20p and £60 per spin.

Alice in Wonderslots is an assault on the senses – subtle and understated this ain’t. With a misty garden in the background, the reels include many of the most famous characters from Lewis Carroll’s stories. They include the White Rabbit and the March Hare. The Duchess and the Mad Hatter are the most rewarding standard symbols. You’ll win 25 times your total stake if you land 5 of those in combination.

Alice herself is of course present and correct. The way she pays is a little different to the norm though. Land 2 or 3 Alice symbols and you’ll get a payout of double your stake – land 4 or 5 and the payout increases to 3 times your stake.

Potentially even more lucrative is the Cheshire Cat which is the wild – it replaces everything apart from Alice and the scatter. Land 2, 3, 4 or 5 wilds in the same payline and you’ll get an award of 0.5, 5, 50 or 450 times your total stake!

More rewarding still is the scatter which offers payouts of 5, 20 or 500 times your total stake if you land 3, 4 or 5 anywhere on the same spin. You’ll also activate the game’s Free Spins feature – on offer here are 20 free spins. Alice can land fully stacked here. Every time an Alice symbol lands, you’ll get an award equal to your total stake. You can also retrigger giving you 40 free spins in total.

Alice in Wonderslots is a much feistier video slot than you’d expect when it comes to volatility as this is a high variance game. Expect plenty of lean spells punctuated by the occasional decent payout. The design here isn’t of the highest class. It’s decent enough though, if a little in your face. The base game action is pretty pedestrian, but the free spins round offers some decent potential.

Get lucky there and this trip through the looking glass is worth making. I also recommend WMS’ The Cheshire Cat and Ash Gaming’s Adventures beyond Wonderland which has the same theme.
