Esqueleto Explosivo Video Slot review
Esqueleto Explosivo is a Thunderkick powered video slot with 5 reels and 17 paylines. The game is based on Enrico Mortis and his mariachi band (The Boners) who celebrate the Day of the Dead – this is a Mexican holiday which focuses on praying and remembering friends and family members who have died. Esqueleto Explosivo has dropping symbols – this means that winning symbols from a winning combination disappear. The new symbols will appear in their spaces to give a chance to win again and again from every single spin. As you win though, the Mucho Multiplier applies – winning spins will increase the multiplier up to 32x if you’re lucky!
If you have a winning spin, the contributing symbols explode and are replaced by new ones – this gives you another chance to win again. However, this time, the spin will be subject to a 2x multiplier. This can continue to give you a multiplier of 4x, then 8x, then 16x and finally 32x!

Esqueleto Explosivo is the first Thunderkick slot to be reviewed by us and I’m sure they will be more in the future. The game is different to anything I’ve seen with quite smooth and sharp graphics with innovative functionality. I found the game to be a medium variance one and a game I will play from time to time.
Theme wise, there is no other slot online that I’ve found to be similar but in terms of exploding symbols, it reminds me on NetEnt’s Gonzo’s Quest which uses the Avalanche Reels feature. Saying that, IGT’s Da Vinci Diamonds uses the Tumbling Reels feature which is a similar concept.
