Queen of the Nile II Video Slot review

Queen of the Nile II is powered by Aristocrat and based on ancient Egyptian. The queen of the Nile is Cleopatra and this slot is Aristocrat’s answer to IGT’s Cleopatra slot game. Queen of the Nile II is a very popular slot game in Australia particularly and can be played in land-based casinos. The game has 5 reels and 25 paylines can be played from 75p a spin to £100 a spin (based on all 25 paylines being active).

Look out for the Queen of the Nile herself (Cleopatra symbol) as she doubles the prize when she appears in a winning combination. The other symbol to look out for is the Pyramids symbol because if you get 3 or more on the reels, you will trigger the Free Games feature.

This free spins feature allows you to choose the number of free spins and the multiplier from 4 options – the options are 5 free spins with a 10x multiplier, 10 free spins with a 5x multiplier, 15 free spins with a 3x multiplier and 20 free spins with a 2x multiplier.

I would personally go for 1 of the first 2 options as you will get more for your money. Just multiply the number of free spins by the multiplier and the first 2 options give you a higher number. Saying that, my biggest win of Queen of the Nile II came from 15 free spins with the 3x multiplier. What is good about the free spins game is that you can trigger the feature again (by getting 3 or more Pyramid symbols).

Finally, there is a Gamble feature on this slot where you double your winning amount if you guess the colour of the card (red or black). You will win 4 times your stake if you guess the correct suit (heart, diamond, club or spade). You can gamble your winnings up to 5 times.

Queen of the Nile II may look graphically dated but it’s a very good slot game – the sounds are very distinctively Aristocrat too which is comforting in some weird way. This slot is a medium/high variance game so be careful it doesn’t swallow your entire bankroll. Play at low stakes in hope of that big win. If you like ancient Egyptian-themed slots, you can’t go wrong with IGT’s Pharaoh’s Fortune which is one of my top 5 slots ever – in terms of volatility, you should try Black Knight II by WMS.
