Novomatic Wolf Money Xtra Choice Slot Review and Free Play

Wolf Money Xtra Choice: Demo

Novomatic takes to the plains of north America in Wolf Money Xtra Choice, a simple wilderness-themed video slot. You’ll have the choice of playing with a 25 payline or 1,024 ways to win game engine active. Both options come with free spins and wild multipliers that can quadruple wins. Stakes start from 25p to 40p per spin.

Even by Novomatic’s less than stellar standards, the design in Wolf Money Xtra Choice looks a little dated. With a starry sky in the background, the reels include lower value playing cards alongside a rabbit, a deer, an owl and a big cat. Best of the standard symbols is the wolf.

Helping your winning chances is the moon which is the wild. It can land on the middle 3 reels only and substitute for all other symbols apart from the scatter. That scatter is the silver coin. Land 3 or more of the coin and you’ll trigger the Free Games feature. The precise goodies on offer vary depending on which game engine you’re using:

1,024 Way to Win Mode – here you’ll receive a payout equal to 2, 10 or 25 times your total stake and can choose from the following options:

  • 10 free spins with wild wins boosted by 3x or 4x
  • 12 free spins with wild wins boosted by 2x or 4x
  • 18 free spins with wild wins boosted by 2x or 3x
  • 22 free spins with wild wins boosted by 2x
  • Mystery Choice – a combination of any spins and multipliers

25 Payline Mode – the payout is once again 2, 10 or 25 times your stake. You’ll also receive 15 free spins with all wild wins receiving a 2x or 4x boost. You can re-trigger more free spins regardless of which game engine you’re using.

Wolf Money Xtra Choice is a real old school video slot. The visuals certainly won’t be winning any awards but the Native American-style soundtrack is appealing enough. The feature round is pure Novomatic – free spins with a multiplier twist. We found this to be pretty volatile too with the variance in the medium to high range.

It probably won’t win you over if you’re not already a fan of Novomatic’s games. If you are, it ticks all the usual boxes. I would recommend you try some of their better titles with Dragon’s Deep a superb choice.
