Novomatic Wild Bounty Slot Review and Free Play

Wild Bounty: Demo

Get out your Stetson and grab your Colt 45, we’re off to the Wild West in Wild Bounty. It’s a 5 reel, 4 row, 50 payline video slot from Novomatic that comes with a pick me round that offers potential jackpot prizes and a free spins feature where the middle 3 reels spin as one. Stakes range from between 50p and £50 per spin.

No frills would be one way to describe Novomatic video slots and their description rings true with Wild Bounty. The design here is simple as usual. Set against wooden reels, you’ll see lower value royal symbols as well as bags of silver coins, cactus plants, horse shoes and wagons. The best of the standard symbols is the slightly deranged looking woman. Land 5 of those across a payline and you’ll pocket 20 times your stake.

Helping to create those winning lines is the sheriff – he can land anywhere apart from on reel 1 and substitutes for everything bar the scatter and bonus symbols. Both of those can trigger a bonus feature.

Free Games feature – you’ll be awarded 5 free games if you land the sheriff’s badge symbol on reels 1, 2 and 3 on the same spin. On each of those free spins, the middle 3 reels will be linked and spin together which offers some cracking potential action. 3 scatters during the feature will give you another 5 free spins.

Safes Saloon feature – the second feature is triggered by landing the dynamite symbol on the middle 3 reels on the same spin. It’s a jackpot pick ‘em round. Choose from the safes to reveal diamonds – find 1 or 2 of them and you’ll win an award equal to 1 or 2 times your total stake. Locating 3 diamonds awards the Mini jackpot. Find 4 and you’ll trouser the Maxi jackpot. Miss out on diamonds completely from your picks you could get another 3 picks.

This is pretty much what we expected when we opened up Wild Bounty. The visuals are a step up from some Novomatic titles but are no better than mid division. They do the job just fine though. As usual, it’s the features that make this Novomatic title an attractive play. The synced reels in the free spins round are a tidy addition and the picks round offer big potential rewards.

There’s nothing spectacular on offer here but if you’re one of the many Novomatic lovers out there then Wild Bounty should be right up your street. If you like the Wild West theme, Sticky Bandits from Quickspin and Heart of the Frontier from Playtech are recommended.
