The game engine in Knights of Gold is unusual – to the left you’ll see a standard 5 reel, 3 row machine. To the right is a 5 reel, 12 row machine. They spin independently with winning combinations created by landing 3, 4 or 5 in a row on each.
The reels feature middle ages-style royal symbols as well as goblets, suits of armour, flags and shields. NextGen Gaming and betdigital have created an enjoyable game here. The visuals are very tastefully done, backed by a classical, middle ages score. The features impress too. We landed the Shield Surprise Bonus feature at regular intervals. The free spins were a little trickier to locate but the multipliers and modifiers can make it worth the wait. As far as volatility goes, we’d put it on the high side of medium.
