Gorilla Go Wild is a 5 reel, 25 payline slot which has been produced by NextGen Gaming. You can play as little as 25p a spin to as much as £50 a spin and can be played on mobile and tablet devices too. It’s the first NextGen Gaming game to use Evolving Gameplay technology which rewards you the more you play. The main character is Gary (the gorilla) who is animated throughout.
Needless to say, it has a jungle theme which is friendly, fun and cartoon-like. Gary the gorilla is the main attraction as he shows off his quirky and fun character as you spin those reels. You will also notice that funky disco is the genre for the soundtrack which I find very entertaining.
You will notice there are randomly activated bonus features in the base game with Gary taking centre stage. Gary’s Bonus Time feature sees Gary giving you a cash prize up to 40 times your stake or he can fast-track you into Gary the Gorilla’s Feature Kingdom. I quite like the Gary Goes Bananas feature as Gary casually eats a banana and takes you to a new area in the jungle – this will also increase the amount of times Gary’s Bonus Time feature triggers.
Gary the Gorilla’s Feature Kingdom can be entered when you see 3 or more temple symbols anywhere on the reels. You will get a choice of bonus features but 3 of them are available once you active it a number of times. First up is the Gorillionaire Win Spin feature which is always available and gives you 10 winning spins with wins double (you can also retrigger if you’re lucky!).
Second you have the Stay Wild feature which can be played after triggering the main feature 5 or more times. Again, you get 10 free spins but wilds become sticky throughout the free spins (a retrigger is also possible). Thirdly you have the Mega-Rilla Multiplier feature which can be chosen after triggering the main feature 10 or more times. Anyway, you will get 10 free spins with the multiplier increasing by 1 when a wild appears (up to 10x) – you can also retrigger the feature for more free spins.
Finally, the More Wilds feature can be selected when you trigger the main feature 15 times or more. You will also get 10 free spins but up to 3 symbols can transform into a wild – this can really boost wins. I must add that Gary can retrigger the feature for you too.
Gorilla Go Wild is a medium variance game which is nicely balanced in terms of win potential and entertainment. The free spins features can reward you with up to 750 times your stake which is great. Now, the return to player % (RTP) also increases up to 96.5% the more you play! I quite like the unlockable bonus features (like Thunderstruck II by Microgaming) which is a nice touch. If you’re looking for more volatility, NextGen Gaming’s 300 Shields is the game you should play though.
