NextGen Gaming Cash Towers Video Slot Review

Cash Towers: Demo

Trying to make off with plenty of lolly from a skyscraper is the name of the game in Cash Towers. Created by betdigital and NextGen Gaming, this 5 reel, 5 payline video slot comes with vintage design and some unusual extras. Play the Supermeter game following any winning spin then collect coins in the Bonus Bank to activate the Multiplier Game. Prizes of up to 500 times your bet are on offer in this multi stage spin the wheel bonus. The other bonus round awards up to 20 free spins. Play on your PC, tablet or mobile from between 10p and £100 per spin.

There’s a retro look to the visuals which are very nicely done. Set against a backdrop of skyscrapers at night, you’ll see 1930s style cop cars patrolling at the bottom of the screen. On the reels you’ll see cars, bell hops, shouting cops and a woman with a gun. The hat-wearing gangster is the most lucrative symbol. Land 3, 4 or 5 of these for a payout of 10, 20 or 40 times your bet. Unusually, there isn’t a wild. There’s a good selection of extras on offer in Cash Towers though.

Free Games Bonus feature – land 3 scatters on the same spin and your reward will be 10 free spins. You can also retrigger to give you another 10 free spins.

Supermeter Game feature – above the standard reels you’ll notice a set of blacked out positions. These can become active following any winning spin. You can collect your winnings from that triggering spin or you can use it to play on the Supermeter Reels. Each spin here costs 2x your standard bet.

Added to the reels are bronze, silver and gold coins. Each time these hit they award 25%, 50% or 100% of your bet into the Bonus Bank. Any time there is any money in the Bonus Bank you can go on and play the next feature, the Cash Towers Multiplier Game feature.

Cash Towers Multiplier Game feature – you’ll now head, King Kong style, to the top of a skyscraper to spin the wheel which is made up of multipliers and arrows. If the pointer stops on an arrow, you’ll go through to the next wheel where bigger multipliers are on offer. Land on a multiplier and that amount is applied to whatever you had in the Bonus Bank. You’re guaranteed to win at least the amount in the Bonus Bank. Reach the summit of the Cash Tower and payouts of up to 500 times your bet are possible.

Cash Towers is quite an unusual game, especially the Supermeter and Multiplier Game elements. They work pretty well though and mean there’s plenty going on. The design here impresses too. The comic book imagery looks good and the jazz inflected backing track is a nice fit.

Put all that together and Cash Towers become a very playable game and worth considering if you like this vintage theme. If mobsters are your thing, Novomatic’s Chicago can’t be beaten.
