The Invisible Man: Demo

The Invisible Man Video Slot review

The Invisible Man is a NetEnt-powered video slot with 5 reels and 20 paylines. This branded slot has been created in partnership with Universal Studios (like Scarface and Aliens) and is based on the 1933 classic film which was adapted from H.G Wells science fiction novel.

The game is based on a scientist who wants to become invisible and manages to do so (but all doesn’t go as planned). You will hear authentic sounds and voices from the film which is great – graphically it’s brilliant but that’s NetEnt. You can play from as little as 20p a spin to as much as £100 a spin so it suits all pockets.

Paylines win both wins which is good and there are 4 bonus features including free spins, re-spins and walking wild symbols. Look out for Police wild symbols which appear on the 1st reel and move horizontally to the right hand side until it moves off the 5th reel. The same applies to the Griffin wild symbol but these appear on the 5th reel and move horinzontally to the left. When you get either wild, you will get a re-spin with the wild moving either left or right.

Now, if both the Police and Griffin wild symbols appear in the same position, they merge and lock to activate the Free Spins feature – here you are rewarded with 10 free spins. Look out for the 2 wilds merging during the feature as it will reward you with an additional 4 free spins every time it happens.

If you look above the reels, you will see 2 meters (each with 8 spaces to fill) – one is for Griffin wilds and one is for Police wilds. When either wild symbol appears, it will fill up the corresponding meter. If you fill the 8 spaces for either meter, you will then trigger a subsequent bonus feature which comes into play when the free spins end.

The Griffin’s Rage Bonus feature takes you to 3 locations where you have to click items to reveal prizes consisting of cash prizes, 1+ multiplier or end of stage (ends the feature) – hopefully you can get a 4x multiplier! The Police Spins Bonus feature rewards you with 3 spins but 5 burning wilds appear on the reels randomly.

The Invisible Man is a great slot game in my opinion. The tendency for branded slots tends to be to make a low variance game but this is medium variance and nicely balance. I found decent-sized wins in the base game due to the re-spins feature but had my best return in the Free Spins feature and Police Spins Bonus feature.

The latter reminds me of the Thor Free Spins feature in Playtech’s The Avengers as 5 wilds per spin can lead to huge wins if lined up right. The Griffin’s Rage Bonus feature can pay up to 188 times your stake with the Free Spins feature potentially paying up to 1,000 times your stake (I need to keep playing!). Net Entertainment have produced a belter in my opinion and I reckon I will be playing this as much as I play favourites like Piggy Riches and Victorious.
