South Park Video Slot review

South Park is a 5 reel 25 payline slot game created by Net Entertainment in association with Comedy Partners. This much anticipated game is based on the world famous adult animated sitcom which is known for its twisted, dark, rude and sometimes controversial humour.

The sitcom is based on Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny and their exploits in the fictional town of South Park. The slot version offers you bonus features on the 4 main characters as well as 3 mini-features based on wilds. It suits all pockets as the game can be played 25p to £125 a spin.

In terms of the bonus features, you have 4 main ones based on each of the infamous characters. You can trigger any particular character bonus feature by obtaining the Bonus symbol on reels 3 and 4 as well as the character bonus symbol on reel 5. So if you got Stan on reel 5, you’d trigger his feature.

You have the Stan Bonus Spins feature where you get 10 free spins. Sticky wilds can appear on the reels which will make Stan puke on Wendy. The sticky wilds remain on the reels for 2 free spins. If you get a few, you can get a decent win but the maximum win amount is capped at 30 times your stake (or £3,750 playing at maximum stake). Not good enough in my opinion.

Then you have the Kyle Bonus Spins feature where you’ll receive 10 free spins. The Ike (baby) wild is all important on reel 5 and you will see Kyle kick Ike into touch. Ike will bounce onto 1 of the 5 options along the bottom of the reels. These are a 2x multiplier, 10x multiplier, 50 coins, 500 coins and +3 free spins. I’ve had some decent wins when I got the 10x multiplier a few times. The maximum win amount is 300 times your stake which is pretty good (up to £37,500 at maximum stake).

There is the Kenny Bonus feature where Kenny has 3 lives. You need to help Kenny navigate through the Win, Multiplier and Danger zones. Win zones will give you cash rewards, Danger zones contains cash prizes and 1 trap which removes 1 of Kenny’s lives and Multiplier zones contain multiplier values. At every step, you make a choice from 3 options. If you make it to the end of the feature, you will win 2,500 coins (maximum of £1,250) on top of your winnings but if Kenny dies 3 times, the feature will end. The maximum win amount is 556 times your stake (or up to £69,500 playing at maximum stake).

Last but certainly not least is the Cartman Bonus feature – Cartman looks for his sworn enemies (hippies) in the bushes. You will have to pick from 8 bushes where you can uncover different hippies, the police offer or the music playing rocker which resets the game. If you uncover the police offer twice, the feature will end. The reason this feature is the best as the maximum win amount is a whopping 5,000 times your stake (or up to £625,000 playing at maximum stake).

Then there are 3 mini-features which are based on wilds – all are activated randomly in the base game. You have the Terrance and Phillip Mini feature where 3 wilds are placed at random on the 3 middle reels. The Mr Hankey Mini feature gives you between 3 and 5 wilds on reels 1, 3 and 5. The best is the Cartman Mini feature as a 3×3 block of wilds (the Beefcake wild) will fall on the 3 middle reels. It can take up 1 row, 2 rows or all 3 rows. If you get the Beefcake wild on all 3 rows, you will win massively!

South Park is definitely a fun and entertaining game. I love the sitcom to quite like the slot game. I found the win amounts to be pretty limited in most bonus features and really only look forward to the Cartman Bonus feature and Cartman Mini feature.

Another thing – I found the game to take quite a while (I’m just impatient) which didn’t help. However, getting the Beefcake Wild land on 3 rows in the Cartman Mini feature on 2 occasions on my last play of the game really boosted my opinion of the game. Subsequently, there’s a second South Park slot, South Park Reel Chaos which is better in my opinion.
