Net Entertainment Pyramid Quest for Immortality Slot Review and Free Play

Pyramid Quest for Immortality: Demo

The classic ancient Egyptian slots gets a very modern makeover in Pyramid Quest for Immortality. Created by developer Net Entertainment, it’s a visual treat that comes with sticky wilds, expanding multipliers and Avalanche reels which offer the chances of multiple re-spins. Enter the Pyramid from between 10p and £200 per spin.

The first thing to say is that Pyramid: Quest for Immortality looks superb – the setting is a lavishly decorated pyramid which is guarded by the Gods of Darkness and Light. The reels are set up in a pyramid formation which is possible given the 720 ways to win game engine. Look out for a selection of nicely drawn hieroglyph symbols including snakes, insects, eagles, kings and queens. They’re joined by lower value playing card values from A to 10. The ankh is the wild and substitutes for all other symbols. There is no scatter.

Pyramid doesn’t offer traditional features like free spins or pick me rounds – the action, and there’s plenty of it, comes largely via the Avalanche Reels also found in Gonzo’s Quest. After every successful spin, the winning symbols will be blasted away and replaced by the symbols above. The avalanches keep on coming as long as there’s a winning combination on show anywhere on the reels. These avalanches don’t eat into your paid spins and are in effect free re-spins.

The only symbol that won’t be blasted is the wild if it appears in a winning combo at the top of reels 2, 3 or 4. If that happens, the wild will be retained for the spin that follows. The more consecutive avalanches the better. Three in a row and you’ll trigger a 2x multiplier. They then increase after every third successive avalanche. Get on a roll here and the multiplier can rocket up to an impressive 10x.

NetEnt has kept things relatively simple with Pyramid Quest for Immortality. It’s not overloaded in the features department but the 720 ways to win game engine and the Avalanche Reels keep the action flowing. Combine them with the expanding multipliers and there is definitely scope for some impressive payouts here.

The Egyptian theme is a very familiar one for slots players – NetEnt has taken that age old genre and given it a fresh twist. The visuals are excellent and the Arabian style soundtrack certainly adds to the mood.

Throw in a quality feature and the potential for big wins of up to 36,000 times your stake and it all adds up to make Pyramid: Quest for Immortality a very playable little slot. If you like ancient Egyptian-themed slots, IGT’s Pharaoh’s Fortune is also high recommended.
