Net Entertainment Neon Staxx Slot Review and Free Play

Neon Staxx: Demo

Neon Staxx is a Net Entertainment-powered slot game which has 5 reels and 40 paylines. Available on ‘Touch’ (i.e. mobile and tablet devices), you can play only 20p a spin to as much as £100 a spin. In terms of a theme, it looks like an 80s retro scene with neon colours and odd synthesizer music. It bears some similarities colour wise to Starburst but feels more to me like Transformers!

Like with more and more NetEnt slots these days, there’s a central theme to Neon Staxx – this comes in the form of the SuperStaxx feature which is a stack of symbols that show up on any of the reels. These can appear in both the base game and free spins feature which is described below.

All 5 reels will have a number of adjacent positions that are replaced with 1 symbol for every spin (except for the scatter). The symbol is chosen randomly and shows in the stacks for each and every new spin. This can give you combinations of the same stacked symbol and decent wins.

You can also win more in the Free Spins feature which is played when you see 2 or more triangle scatters anywhere on the reels. 3 of them will reward you with 10 free spins, 4 of them gives you 15 free spins and 5 of them gives you the maximum 20 free spins. The important element is that Predator and/or Wilds are the only symbols that will become stacked in the feature boosting your win potential further. The only negative is that there are no free spins to be activated.

Overall, I would say Neon Staxx is an entertaining and fast-paced slot which has many similarities to Starburst, Twin Spin and Stickers (in terms of gameplay). It’s simple and is a low to medium variance slot with the maximum win amount at 400 times your stake.

I would recommend you play Neon Staxx is played on your desktop device (laptop or PC) as the 4 rows looks a bit cramped on a smaller mobile device. It’s not the best NetEnt slot out there but a welcome addition to the simple yet thrilling games they offer.
