Wheel of Wishes Slot Review

Wheel of Wishes: Demo

Wheel of Wishes is an Arabian-themed progressive jackpot slot from Microgaming. Played using a 5 reel, 10 payline game engine, it doesn’t offer much in the way of features but it’s part of the WowPot network where the top jackpot prize starts at £2m! Play this low variance slot on all devices from 10p to £25 per spin.

Head to the desert

The arid deserts of Arabia form the backdrop to the action in Wheel of Wishes. On the reels you’ll find a circle plus playing card suit symbols. They’re joined by amulets, bottles of position, magical books and chests full of treasure. The genie’s lamp is the best standard symbol. This pays 3, 5 or 10 x your total bet if you land 3, 4 or 5 on a payline. Better still is the wild symbol which delivers awards of 4, 8 or 50 times your bet.

Scatter pays up to 500 x bet

The multi-coloured wheel is the scatter. This pays 5, 50 or 500 x your total bet if you land 3, 4 or 5 of them anywhere on the reels on the same spin. Land 2 or more scatters and you’ll trigger the Power Spin feature.

Here, reels 1 and 5 will be filled with the same matching high value symbol. The middle 3 reels are filled with colossal 3×3 symbols which can create some big combinations.

WowPot Jackpots

Wheel of Wishes is part of the WowPot Network. To trigger the jackpot round, you’ll need to land the colossal multi-coloured scatter on the middle 3 reels on a Power Spin. You’ll then spin the Jackpot Wheel. Depending on where the pointer lands, you’ll win 1 of the following jackpots:

  • Mini Jackpot starts at £10
  • Minor Jackpot starts at £100
  • Major Jackpot starts at £50,000
  • WowPot starts at £2,000,000

Power Mode

If you wish, you can pay extra and play with the Power Spins active all the time. It’s not a cheap option as it increases your stakes by 10x per spin. For example, a 20p spin increases to £2 per spin. It can certainly pep up the action though.

Low variance

Without the WowPot jackpot, there wouldn’t much of interest in Wheel of Wishes as you can win 500 x bet on each spin. It’s the potential megabucks on offer that make it worth a look. It’s a very low variance slot.

The RTP is 93.34% in standard mode and 92.24% in power mode. Wheel of Wishes isn’t massively exciting but the jackpot element means that it will make some wishes come true – especially as the WowPot Jackpot is guaranteed to pay out £2 million. There are better jackpot slots available though – namely Mega Fortune and Hall of Gods, both from NetEnt.
