Microgaming have discontinued the Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring slot game – there wasn’t any official news from Microgaming as to why this happened but it’s believed it’s due to licensing issues. It was rumoured the license to offer the slot game was too expensive for Microgaming to run. It was decommissioned in June 2012 and replaced by The Dark Knight.
It’s a real pity because I loved the Lord of the Rings slot. However, WMS Gaming do have a few Lord of the Rings slot sin land based casinos which hopefully may be made into an online slot. I would love it if they managed to do this because WMS produce quality slot games.
