The 100,000 Pyramid: Demo

100,000 Pyramid Slot review

The 100,000 Pyramid is a 5 reel 15 paylines video slot that is powered by IGT/WagerWorks. The game is the sequel to The 50,000 Pyramid and was launched in late 2010. Like its prequel, the game is named after the maximum number of coins you can win which is a whopping 100,000. You can play from just 15p a spin to £75 a spin.

The wild symbol is the 100,000 Pyramid logo and replaces all other symbols except the Winner’s Circle symbol. If you manage to get 3 or more Winners Circle symbols, you will trigger the Winner’s Circle Bonus feature. Much like The 50,000 Pyramid, the Winner’s Circle Bonus feature is the main attraction of the game.

You will start with 6 free spins with a 1x multiplier and will have 5 picks to increase the number of free spins and multipliers. If you’re lucky, you can get up to 36 free spins with a high 9x multiplier but expect to receive about 12 to 15 free spins with a multiplier ranging between 2x and 4x.

The 100,000 Pyramid slot is a higher variance game that its predecessor but isn’t much different in terms of gameplay, graphics or even the soundtrack. It’s basically a clone with higher payouts. The original wasn’t one of my favourite IGT slots so I don’t really dabble with this version either.

Unfortunately The 100,000 Pyramid is dated and cannot compare to newer slots – maybe they might revamp it like they have done with the brilliant Pharaoh’s Fortune but I very much doubt it. There are other television series-inspired slot games out there (think X-Factor) but the better ones are Game of Thrones by Microgaming and Star Trek Red Alert by WMS Gaming. Not only do they look better and are more modern, they are medium to high variance which can result in some decent wins.
