Pirates’ Frenzy Slot

Pirates’ Frenzy: Demo

Ahoy me hearties, take to the waves for some buccaneering adventure in Pirates’ Frenzy, a 5 (or 6) reel, 10 payline video slot from Blueprint Gaming. It’s not the flashiest looking game you’ll see but activate the Extra Bet mode to bring a 6th reel into play and potential awards of up to 1,000 x bet wins per line. There’s also a free spins round where instant bonus prizes are also on offer. Set sail from between 10p and £200 per spin.

5 or 6 reels

You’ll have the option here to play with 5 or 6 reels active. The default option is 5 reels. To activate the 6th, you’ll have to double your stake. What do you get for that 6th reel? Some chunky 6 of a kind payouts as well as potentially easier access into the Free Spins feature.

Rather crude design

We were a bit surprised when we fired up Pirates’ Frenzy. Expecting slick visuals, we found something that wouldn’t look out of place in the Novomatic back catalogue. It’s certainly not the most sophisticated slot you’ll see. Joining the lower value royals are an orange, money pouches, a bottle of grog and an anchor.

The colourful parrot is the most lucrative standard symbol. Land 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 on a payline for an award of 0.5, 5, 20 or 200 x bet. Better still is the bearded ship’s captain who is the wild. Land 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 of these in a line and you’ll pocket 1, 10, 50, 500 or 1,000 x bet.

10 to 50 free spins

Land 3, 4, 5 or 6 of the pirate ship scatter symbol on the same spin and you’ll receive 10, 15, 20 or 50 free spins in the Free Spins feature. During the feature, the money pouch symbol comes with bonuses of between 1 and 25 times your bet attached. Whenever the wild lands, all the coin values on display are paid too – it also allows for more money pouches to land for even more cash bonuses.

Very straightforward

When they don’t use the Megaways game engine, many Blueprint Gaming slots are packed full of extras. They’ve kept things nice and straightforward here. The only extra to consider is the Free Spins feature which can be a good one thanks to the bonus prizes.

The variance here is in the medium to high range with the top payout being 10,000 x bet per free spin if you fill the reels with the pirate wild. If you’ve come to Pirates’ Frenzy expecting the developer’s usual array of modifiers and bonus rounds, you might be a little underwhelmed. However, it does have high win potential. If you want more pirate adventure, Quickspin’s Pirate’s Charm is worth walking the plank for.
