15 Samurai Video Slot Review

15 Samurai: Demo

Based on the ancient warrior code, 15 Samurai is a 5 reel, 15 payline, Japanese-themed video slot. It’s a simple but highly volatile release from Blueprint Gaming. The highlight is the bonus round that awards 10 free spins complete with sticky wilds. Play from between 25p and £125 per spin on all compatible devices.

Simple design

Blueprint Gaming has kept things simple with the design of the 15 Samurai slot. You’ll see mountains and forests shrouded in mist behind the reels. There you’ll find lower value A to 10 symbols which all offer payouts of up to 4 times your bet per payline. They’re joined by a selection of Japanese-themed symbols including bowls, pipes, cherry blossom trees and swords. These all pay up to 10 times you bet per line. The mysterious geisha is the top standard symbol. Land 5 of her for a payout of 20 times your total bet.

Wild Samurai

The samurai warrior is the wild symbol – this can land anywhere on the screen and as per usual, can substitute for everything apart from the scatter. Land 2, 3, 4 or 5 wilds in combination and you’ll pocket an award of 0.4, 2, 8 or 40 times your bet.

10 Free spins with sticky wilds

The giant gong is the scatter. Land 3 of these on the same spin to activate the Samurai Free Games feature. Your reward is 10 free spins. Any wild that lands during those free spins will lock in place stay in that position for any free spins you have left.

Unusually straightforward for a Blueprint video slot

15 Samurai is something of a departure for a slot from Blueprint Gaming. The gameplay is much more straightforward than you might expect. Saying that, it was an old Merkur Gaming slot that has been brought back to life by Blueprint Gaming.

The only extra is the Free Spins feature. The potential from the sticky wilds can make the round well worth hitting though as you can pocket 1,000 times your bet on every free spin. 15 Samurai is highly volatile but it’s a little too simple for our liking. There are much better martial arts themed slots available with Yggdrasil Gaming’s Hanzo’s Dojo the pick of the bunch.
