Monopoly Big Event Slot Review
Monopoly Big Event is the first Monopoly slot game to be released by Scientific Games since they won to rights to distribute and produce Monopoly-themed slots. Powered by Barcrest, it has 5 reels and 20 paylines and can be played from 20p to £500 a spin. Based on the infamous board game, it has 3 bonus features.
There’s the Big Event feature which you can play when you see the Big Event symbol on reels 1, 3 and 5 simultaneously. If you have 2 stacked symbols on reel 5, you will play the Big Event game with House sneak preview. If you have 3 stacked symbols, you will enter the Big Event game with Hotel sneak preview.
The House sneak preview shows you chance cards for 3 houses with the Hotel sneak preview showing you chance card positions for 3 hotels. You then get to select community chest and chance cards – community chest cards give you free spins and guaranteed wins (which are all collected) and chance cards show you bonus icons. If you match 3 icons, you will trigger the corresponding bonus with the free spins and guaranteed wins added.
You have the Locking Wilds free spins feature with any wild appearing on the reels locking in place for all free spins. Monopoly Big Event is not as good as the IGT titles in my opinion as it looks a little dated graphically and the bonus features aren’t the most exciting. However, the Locking & Wild Big Event feature can give you big wins if you get plenty of sticky wilds in the 5 spins. I am looking forward to WMS Gaming’s Super Monopoly Money which should be out at the end of May (2015).
