Ash Gaming Midas Millions Slot Review and Free Play

Midas Millions: Demo

Midas Millions Video Slot review

Midas Millions is brought to you courtesy of Ash Gaming and is a very popular slot game (in the UK especially). The game doesn’t use a normal/common reel layout as it has a honeycomb structure. There are no paylines as such with pays being based on groups of symbols forming. There are 5 reels with 118,700 ways to win. You can play from just 5p to as much as £20 a spin.

In terms of its theme, it’s based on King Midas who sits behind the semi-transparent reels. Graphically it’s brilliant with colourful symbols and lively soundtrack to go along with it. Midas Millions benefits from connecting wilds which means that the symbols in-between wilds also become wilds. King Midas is also generous as he connects any 2 wilds on the same diagonal row too.

King Midas is also responsible for change symbols into Gold wilds – when forming part of a winning combination, wins will be double (i.e. a 2x multiplier is applied). There are also Super Wild symbols which will turn some of the symbols around it into wilds. King Midas can also get busy as he will personally touch and change up to 6 neighbouring symbols into Gold wilds which can be extremely valuable.

Midas Millions also has a Free Spins Bonus feature which can be played when you get 3 free spins symbols anywhere on the reels – you will begin with 10 free spins. You will see different reel banks but you cannot get more free spins or benefit from connecting or super wilds.

On the plus side, King Midas changes 0, 1 or 2 symbols into locked wilds – these symbols will remain as wild symbols for the remainder of the feature to boost your winning potential. Despite them not being gold wilds, they can really take your winning to a new level with my biggest return to date being just shy of 400 times my stake.

Lastly, if you win less than 10 times your stake in the feature, King Midas will top up your winnings to 20 times your stake – it’s similar to the Bonus Guarantee feature used in WMS Gaming’s Montezuma. I consider Midas Millions to be a medium variance slot but it’s one I play often – I much prefer other Ash Gaming slots like Alice in Wonderland or Leprechaun’s Luck.
