Microgaming has signed an agreement with HBO to develop a Game of Thrones video slot – the game will be based on the hit television series with the release later in the year.
Game of Thrones is a fantasy drama television series which is based on the fictional continent of Westeros and Essos at the end of a decade long summer. It’s based on the bestselling book series A Song of Ice and Fire that follows kings and queen, knights and renegades, liars and noblemen as they aim to sit on the Iron Throne of Westeros. The fourth television series starts in April and it’s high anticipated.
Roget Raatgever, Chief Executive Officer of Microgaming, spoke of the agreement: “We are incredibly excited to have signed a licensing agreement for Game of Thrones, a highly relevant and extremely popular show. We plan on taking all of the features of the small screen fantasy epic to create a masterpiece of a slot. This will be a fantastic addition to our branded content games portfolio.
