Betsson, who are originally Swedish but based in Malta, will be the Gunners’ Official Betting Partner both online as well as in-stadia starting from tomorrow.
According to Arsenal.com, this agreement with the Gunners is Betsson’s first ever football partnership and the deal entails that Betsson will offer a bespoke betting operation dedicated to Arsenal fans. As a result, Betsson will present a new created brand named Gunners Gaming. The new brand will be displayed at Arsenal’s first home game tomorrow against Liverpool.
The new brand will also have an online life in the form of GunnersGaming.com. Arsenal fans will be able to bet on sports, play at the online casino, play poker, games and scratchcards. The site is fully Arsenal themed and will offer fans exclusive offers and ‘money can’t buy’ prizes.
Arsenal’s Head of Global Partnerships, Vinai Venkatesham, said that they are “delighted to
be welcoming Betsson on board as an Official Partner of the Club” as they are “an experienced and trusted brand who will be delivering this innovative new venture”. He went on to say that through GunnersGaming.com, Arsenal fans will be offered “a valuable and unique experience” that is unmatched by any other gaming company.
The news follows Manchester City who struck a partnership agreement with Mansion. On the other hand, Betfair cancelled their sponsorship agreement with Barcelona but still will sponsor Manchester United.
