Blueprint Gaming’s Savanna Stampede Slot Review

Savanna Stampede: Demo

Blueprint Gaming takes players on a volatile video slot safari in Savanna Stampede. This wild animal adventure is simple one. Played using a 5 reel, 10 payline game engine, listen for the rumble of the reels which heralds a stampede where stacked version of 1 of the higher animal symbols are in play. There’s also a free spins round. Play on your PC, tablet or mobile from between 10p and £250 per spin.

There’s nothing overly flashy about the design in Savanna Stampede. The sun-kissed African grasslands form the backdrop to the action. On the reels you’ll see A to 9 royals as well alongside higher paying wild animal symbols. They include a meerkat and a flamingo. Land 3, 4 or 5 of these for an award of 1, 4 or 20 times your bet. The wildebeest and zebra come next, awarding 2, 7.5 or 30 times your bet. The buffalo is the best of the standard symbols, deliver 0.5, 3, 10 or 50 times your bet for a 2, 3, 4 or 5 symbol combination.

Better still is the mighty lion which is the game’s wild. This can appear anywhere on the reels and replace all of the standard symbols. Landing 2, 3, 4 or 5 wilds in a payline also delivers awards of 1, 7.5, 25 or 100 times your bet.

On any spin you could see the reels shake and hear the rumble of charging animal feet. This marks the arrival of a stampede. A voice will herald which animal features in the stampede. You’ll then see extras of that symbol appear on the reels. These can be fully stacked as well as 1 or 2 symbols high and can create some decent combinations.

The main feature in Savanna Stampede is the Free Spins feature. It’s triggered in the usual manner by landing 3, 4 or 5 moon scatters on the same spin. You’ll then go on to play 12, 15 or 20 free spins. You can expect to see plenty of stampedes during these free spins. Landing 3 or more scatters results in a re-trigger and another round of free spins.

Blueprint Gaming has kept things simple in Savanna Stampede. The design isn’t as glossy as some video slots from this developer. That’s also true of the hybrid backing track which combines a classic arcade-style soundtrack with traditional African music when you land a winner.

The gameplay is equally straightforward. The animal stampedes and free spins both offer some decent chances. This video slot isn’t exactly overloaded with extras so if you’re after plenty of variety, you might be better served looking elsewhere. It is volatile though with top wins of 1,000 times your bet on every spin/free spin with a screen full of lion wilds.

If you want a simple, high variance take on the ever-popular safari theme, then Savanna Stampede does the job perfectly well. There are much better alternatives out there with Playtech’s Jungle Giants and NextGen Gaming’s Cash Stampede my preferred choices.
