Quickspin has announced that they will be purchased by the software giant Playtech – the deal could be worth up to €50 million.
Quickspin is based in Stockholm, Sweden and are a fast-growing Swedish games studio that focuses on developing and supplying high quality video slots to various online casinos and social gaming operators. They currently offer nearly 30 video slots which are available at over 40 customers.
Quickspin has grown significantly in the last few years and have earned themselves an excellent reputation due to the quality and diversity of their video slots content. They also have a few games in the pipeline as well as new customers tied down.
Playtech will pay a maximum consideration of €50 million for Quickspin which includes an initial payment of €24 million for 100% of the company with the remaining €26 million based on an earn-out basis to Quickspin’s earnings in 2017 and 2018. The 3 founders of the business will remain with Quickspin for a minimum of 3 years.
