Quickspin Titan Thunder Video Slot Review

Titan Thunder: Demo

Join the mighty gods of ancient Greece in Titan Thunder, a myth and legend-themed video slot from Quickspin with 5 reels and 50 paylines. Look out for the Titan Thunder feature which can bring a 6th reel into play complete with up to 8 added wilds. There’s also a bonus round that awards 8 free spins with giant 2×2 symbols and the 6th reel active at all times. Play on all devices from between 50p and £100 per spin.

With Mount Othrys in the background, the reels include 5 lower value gemstones and 5 Titans. They’re joined by a wild that replaces everything bar the scatter. The base game takes place on a 5-reel machine. Thunder can rumble on any spin and unlock the Titan Thunder feature – this adds a 6th reel into play. Lightning strikes will also add up to 8 wilds into play while the Titan Thunder feature is active.

The payouts for a 6-of-a-kind win are much higher than for a 5-symbol combination – 6 wilds for example pays 20 times your stake rather than 8 for 5 in a row. Likewise, the top Titan which awards up to 8 rather than 3 times your stake.

The other main extra is the Titan Free Spins feature – it’s triggered by landing 3 bonus symbols. You’ll receive a payout of 3 times your stake as well as 8 free spins. The 6th reel is active throughout the feature. The Titans expand too, spinning in giant 2×2 clusters making it that much easier to land a winner. 1 giant Titan turns wild throughout the free spins too.

As usual for a Quickspin video slot, the design here is nicely done. It’s not the best we’ve seen from the developer but the visuals work well enough and everything is clear and crisp. The Titanic theme isn’t quite matched by the variance which we found to be in the middle with top wins of 1,000 times your bet on each spin. Expect to see the 6th reel and free spins at regular intervals.

Ancient Greece remains an enduringly popular setting for video slot developers and players. Titan Thunder isn’t the most innovative game you’ll find but it’s a perfectly sturdy effort. If you’re after simple, classical action, Titan Thunder delivers just that. Alternatively, NextGen Gaming’s Medusa & NetEnt’s Divine Fortune are good games to play.
