Quickspin Genie’s Touch Video Slot Review

Genie’s Touch: Demo

Enter a mystical land of magic and riches in Genie’s Touch. Created by Quickspin, it’s a 5 reel, 20 payline video slot that comes with transforming symbols and a bonus round that awards 10 free spins. Play on all devices from between 20p and £100 per spin.

Set against a skyline filled with minarets and an opulent palace backdrop, the reels have a luxurious look. Joining the 6 brightly coloured gemstones are a quartet of human characters. There’s a wise looking bearded man, a moustachioed baddie and a mysterious woman. The best of the standard symbols is the man in the hat who awards 12.5 times your total bet if you land 5 on a line. There’s also a wild that awards 1.25, 3.75 or 12.5 times your total bet if you hit 3, 4 or 5 symbol combination.

There are 2 main features on offer in this mystical adventure. You have the Genie’s Touch feature which is triggered by landing 3 or more of the magic lamp symbol anywhere on the reels on the same spin. Once active, a symbol is selected at random next to each of the magic lamps. The genie will then appear and magically transform all of the selected symbols, plus the lamps, into the same matching symbol. A new payout consideration is then made.

Then you have the Free Spins feature which is played when you land 3 or more of the bonus symbol – you’ll be awarded 10 free spins. The Genie’s Touch feature can hit during the free spins. You can re-trigger more rounds of free spins here too if the bonus symbols fall nicely.

As you’d expect from a Quickspin powered video slot, the design here is very nicely done. The cartoon visuals have a classy look and there’s an Arabian style backing track playing in the background.  There’s nothing too flashy on offer in the base game. You can expect to land the Genie’s Touch feature at regular intervals which keeps things moving nicely. As far as volatility goes, we’d put Genie’s Touch in the medium range with maximum wins of 362 times your bet on each spin/free spin.

This Arabian adventure is well put together. Combining good looks with a pair of decent extras, Genie’s Touch is a simple but very playable game. If you like genies, NetEnt’s Arabian Nights and Playtech’s Wild Wishes are worth playing.
