Playtech Drinks On The Beach Video Slot Review

Drinks On The Beach: Demo

A tropical beach bar is the setting for Drinks On The Beach, a sun-kissed, 5 reel, 20 payline video slot from Playtech. Every time you land a winner, you’ll receive a respin complete with a wild multiplier that can boost payouts by up to 10x. Look out too for the giant wilds that can fill the whole of reels 4 and 5. Play from 20p per spin.

The design in Drinks On The Beach is pretty simple – beautiful sand, turquoise seas and swaying palm trees form the backdrop to the reels. Joining the usual assortment of playing card symbols are 5 brightly coloured cocktails. The best of them is the 1 in the totem glass that awards up to 1,000 coins per payline. There’s also a wild that can land on the middle 3 reels.

Respins are central to the action in Drinks On The Beach – every time you land a winner, you’ll trigger the Respins feature and will be awarded a respin, complete with a multiplier wild. This starts at 2x and increases with each successive win to 3x, 5x and 10x on your fourth straight winning respin.

If the multiplier wild forms part of a winning line on that re-spin your payout is boosted by the multiplier value. The drink at the side of the reels will show how much the multiplier is worth on that specific spin. Once you hit a winless respin, the multiplier reverts back to 1x.

The only other extra to note is the giant wild – i.e. the Giant Wild Drinks feature. It can randomly fill the whole of reels 4 and 5 in the base game. If you get a win, this will then trigger the Respins feature where consecutive respins wins will increase the multiplier up to 10x.

There aren’t any free spins on offer here but you can expect to land the respins at regular intervals. We still found the game to be quite volatile. It’s not the easiest to land a winner with a wild multiplier during the respins but it can certainly pay dividends when you do – up to 10,000 times your stake on each spin!

Drinks On The Beach is a simple game. The range of extras isn’t wide as all the action comes courtesy of the respins and wild multipliers. If you enjoy simple, repetitive action then you’ll be saying ‘cheers’ to Drinks On The Beach. I also recommend you try ELK Studios’ Sam on the Beach and Yggdrasil Gaming’s Spiña Colada which have similar themes.
