Santa Surprise Slot review
Santa Surprise is a Playtech powered video slot game with a Christmas theme and has symbols including Santa Claus, Christmas trees, bells, gifts and stockings. The 5 reel 20 payline slot has an impressive 10,000 coin jackpot which you can trigger by getting 5 Santa Claus Wild symbols. It also has 2 main bonus features which are described below.
Firstly, let’s look at the Christmas Gifts Bonus feature which can be triggered by getting 3 or more consecutive Bonus symbols on an active payline starting with the 1st reel. You will see that Santa has left you 6 gifts to choose from. You will get 3, 4 or 5 gifts depending on how many bonus symbols you get to trigger the bonus feature. These are cash prizes which is good.
Then there’s the Free Games feature which is activated when you get 3 or more Mountain Chalet symbols. You will then receive 10 free spins with a 3x multiplier. What is good about this feature is that you can re-trigger more free spins by getting 3 or more Mountain Chalet symbols. There is no limit to the number of free spins you can get too which is good.
Finally, there is a Gamble feature which you can activate after any win of the reels. You will see a Gamble button which you need to click. You need to decide where the next card drawn will be red or black in colour. Guessing correctly will double your win up to a limit of £2,500. You can collect after every successful gamble though but you will lose your win if you guess incorrectly.
The Santa Surprise slot game is a nice and simple slot game with a great top prize and a rewarding Free Games feature. I found this game to be a low to medium variance one with the bigger wins coming in the free spins feature. The Christmas Gifts Bonus feature will generally give you between 5 and 10 times your stake though but occasionally can reward you with a nice 50 times your stake win. It’s not my favourite Playtech slot by a long way as I prefer higher variance games like Sultan’s Gold or Great Blue but it’s nice to play during the festive season in my opinion.
