Halloween Fortune Video Slot review

Halloween Fortune is a Playtech powered video slot with 5 reels and 20 paylines. It obviously has a Halloween theme and the 3 witches are somewhat rather foxy (take a look for yourself!). Anyway, it comes with a 10,000 coin jackpot which is triggered by getting 5 Jack-O-Lantern Wild symbols anywhere on the reels. In terms of the betting range, you can play for as little as 20p a spin to as much as £100 a spin.

The main attraction of this game is the Witches’ Brew Bonus feature – you can initiate this by getting the Cauldron Bonus symbol on reels 1 and 5 simultaneously. Click on the ‘Click to Start’ button and then help the 3 witches create a “magical brew”. You will need to choose 1 of the 3 witches to reveal the amount of free games (or free spins) you will be awarded. This ranges between 3 and 20 free spins. Then click on ‘Continue’.

You will then need to select from 6 potions to reveal your free spins multiplier. The multiplier values range from 2x to 10x. That means that in total, you can get 20 free spins with a 10x multiplier. Furthermore, you can be awarded a random number of extra free spins if you reveal the Cauldron Bonus symbol on reels 1 and 5. This is unlimited and the initial multiplier will apply to these free spins too! Finally, there is a Gamble feature where you can choose the double your winnings by choosing the right card colour (red or black).

Halloween Fortune is a highly played slot game due to the fact that the free spins feature can give you a huge 10x multiplier. Wins can be big as a result and that is what the thrill is with this game. I’ve managed to win over 100 times my stake in the free spins feature just the once but found by biggest wins (overall) have come in the base game. This game seems to be a lucky charm for me though so one I come back to quite regularly.

If you like big multipliers in the feature, IGT’s Cleopatra II sees the multiplier increase by 1 after every free spin (up to 50x!). You also have 300 Shields by NextGen Gaming which can give you a colossal 300x multiplier if you’re very lucky (never seen that before) but be warned, it’s very, very volatile.
