Fantastic Four Video Slot review

Fantastic Four is one of the Marvel Series slot games that is brought to you courtesy of Playtech. Fantastic Four has been enhanced to now feature 50 paylines (previously 25). It is based on the comic book heroes and features Mr Fantastic himself, Human Torch, The Thing and Invisible Woman. The jackpot has also been increased to 10,000 coins which you can trigger by getting 5 Fantastic Four wild symbols.

Fantastic Four has 4 features (obviously) within the Free Games bonus round. Look out for the Earth symbol (the scatter) as getting 3 will trigger the bonus round. You will be awarded with 12 free spins initially and you will see 4 features (triggered by the hero appearing in reel 3) which are as follows:

  1. Mr Fantastic feature – when he covers the entire 3rd reel, you will get 4 extra free spins. Mr Fantastic becomes an expanding wild too.
  2. Invisible Woman feature – when she covers the whole 3rd reel, you will get 4 extra free spins. Every time the Invisible Woman appears, the multiplier goes up by 1.
  3. Human Torch feature – when Human Torch covers the whole 3rd reel, you will be given 4 extra free spins. Reel 1 will then be covered by Human Torch and becomes sticky. You will also get additional symbols too.
  4. The Thing Feature – when The Thing covers the entire central reel, you will be rewarded with 3 extra free spins. When The Thing appears it will become a wild and freeze in place for all remaining free spins.

In total, you could be awarded 27 free spins with a 5x multiplier. If I had to choose, I would say The Thing feature is where I’ve had my biggest wins as the sticky wilds (or frozen wilds) can really boost your winnings. The Human Torch feature is pretty good as you can get sticky wild reels.

Fantastic Four is a medium variance slot and there’s a great balance between decent-sized wins and entertainment that have let the Fantastic Four game remain popular despite newer, and graphically superior slots being released. If you want higher volatility, you could try Iron Man 3 (also by Playtech) but if you like sticky wilds, I recommend Dead or Alive by Net Entertainment.
