Cops N’ Bandits is a 5 reel 30 payline video slot created by Playtech – it has a cops and robbers theme with cartoon-style graphics. You can play from as little as 30p a spin to as much as £600 a spin. It comes with 2 great bonus features which will be described below.

The first is the Free Games with Locked Wild feature which is a free spins bonus game with locked wilds. In order to activate this bonus feature, you need to get 3 or more Police Badge scatter symbols anywhere across the reels. If you get 3 scatters, you will get a 5x your stake cash prize and a 300 x your stake cash prize if you get 5 scatters.

If you trigger the feature with 3 scatters, you get to pick 1 of the 3 scatters – this will give you the number of free games/free spins you will get. If you activate the feature with 4 or 5 scatters, you will choose 2 scatters to reveal your free spins – you can get up to 65 free spins in total.

The Locked Wild feature only comes into play during the free spins game. If a cop symbol appears on the left or right-hand side of a thief, the thief will turn into an extra wild symbol. There is no limit to the number of extra wilds you can get – also, and more importantly, these extra wilds remain locked throughout the free spins. Just for your reference, the thief symbols will only appear on the 3 middle reels.

Then there is the Line-Up Bonus feature which you can activate by getting 3 Line-Up symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5. You will then face a classic police line-up with 6 criminals on show. The aim is to identify the correct criminal to win the cash prize displayed at the top of the screen. I found Cops N’ Bandits to be a medium variance slot with decent wins coming in the Free Games feature due to locked wilds. It’s quite entertaining too in terms of animations and the quirky characters but the game is often overlooked as not probably on display like more well-known slots.
