Leprechaun Goes Egypt Video Slot review
Leprechaun Goes Egypt is a Play ‘N Go video slot with 5 reels and 20 paylines. It’s based on a Leprechaun’s holiday to ancient Egypt whereby he paints the pyramids green, has a pint with a mummy, squashes a scarab with his pot of gold and turns Cleopatra into a wench. You can play just 20p a spin to as much as £100 a spin and the game is now available across various online casinos (it used to be exclusive to Unibet Casino and Maria Casino).
The game has 3 bonus features with 2 that will be explained (the other is a normal Gamble feature). I will start with the Rescue Cleopatra feature which you can play when you get the Pyramid symbol on reels 1, 3 and 5. You need to click on the doors to reach the treasure chamber in order to save Cleopatra. Every successful door you choose will reward you with a cash prize whilst you may find a mummy (which ends the feature). If you save Cleopatra, you can win up to 500 times your stake!
Then you have the Free Spins feature which you can play when you get 3 or more Cleopatra symbols on the reels. You will have 3 choices when it comes to free spins and a multiplier:
- Cleopatra – 5 free spins with a 6x multiplier
- Leprechaun – 10 free spins with a 3x multiplier
- Mummy – 15 free spins with a 2x multiplier
I’ve played all 3 with varying results – theoretically, the win potential should be exactly the same on all 3. I prefer Cleopatra by IGT though as 1 good win from a 6x multiplier free spin can make all the difference. I tend to go for bigger wins or nothing at all so that suits me. If you want to win a decent amount, the Mummy is probably your best bet as you have 15 free spins to get something (it will just be smaller!).
If you like ancient-Egyptian and Irish luck-themed slots, you should try Pharaoh’s Fortune by IGT (my favourite ancient Egyptian slot by a country mile) and the classic Rainbow Riches by Barcrest. Saying that, ancient Egypt is a popular theme for obvious reasons so check the slots section for more quality games.
