Novomatic Lucky Rose Slot Review and Free Play

Lucky Rose: Demo

A mysterious fortune teller is the star of Lucky Rose, a 5 reel, 10 payline video slot from Novomatic.  The crystal ball can deliver a bonus round that awards up to 24 free spins with just 3 symbols and the wild spinning around the reels. Stakes range from between 10p and £100 per spin.

The visuals in Lucky Rose are a step up from many Novomatic video slots. We’re still a way from Quickspin or Thunderkick standards but the glossy design is a move in the right direction. You’ll see the usual assortment of lower value playing cards spinning around the reels. The other symbols all relate to the fortune telling theme.

You’ll see golden earrings and red roses which pay up to 25 times your bet per payline followed by a gypsy caravan and Lucky Rose which award up to 50 times your bet per line. The best of the standard symbols is the Lucky Rose logo. Land 2, 3, 4 or 5 of these on a line and you’ll pocket 1, 5, 20 or 100 times your total bet.

The other symbol to look out for is the shimmering crystal ball which is the game’s wild. It replaces all other symbols. It also acts as the trigger for the game’s Lucky Rose feature. Land 3 of them on the same spin and you will receive 12 free spins.

Before the feature begins, the fortune teller will gaze into the crystal ball and reveal a trio of mystery symbols. Only these 3 symbols and the crystal ball wild will appear on the reels during the free spins. Retriggers are possible here too giving you up to 24 free spins altogether.

Lucky Rose delivers just what we’ve come to expect from a Novomatic-powered video slot. It’s not the flashiest in terms of visuals and the backing track will be instantly familiar to anyone who has played any of the developer’s games.

The gameplay is simple but there’s plenty of potential on offer in the bonus round. The variance here is in the medium to high range. Lucky Rose isn’t the most sophisticated game you’ll come across, either in terms of design or features. If you’re after a wide variety of extras and bonuses, then you won’t find them here.

If you want simple, volatile action then Novomatic can usually be relied upon to deliver. In Lucky Rose, they’ve done just that. There are better Novomatic titles out there though with 13 or Kingdom of Legend better options.
