After every free spin takes place, the battle reels spin where you aim to defeat the monster. If you defeat all 3 monsters, you are rewarded with up to 10 Victory Spins.
The Forest of Fortune realm has Roaming Wild symbols – a 2x Roaming Wild will apply on the 2nd monster battle with a 4x Roaming Wild applying on the 3rd monster battle. The Sea of Glory realm offers you a randomly-placed wild reel on each free spin (with reels 1, 2 or 3 wild in the 2nd monster battle and reel 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 in the 3rd monster battle).
It may sound confusing but it becomes pretty clear once you start playing Nordic Heroes – I found the variance to be on the lower side of medium though with 416 times your bet available on each free spin. The theme is excellent and the bigger wins will come once you level up as the RTP increases significantly. If you like the look and feel of Nordic Heroes, Microgaming’s Avalon II is pretty similar.
