Lucky Larry’s Lobster Mania Slot Review

Lucky Larry’s Lobster Mania is a classic IGT-powered video slot with 5 reels and 25 paylines. This game has been around for some time land based casinos and has become a players’ favourite. The theme is that of lobsters with Lucky Larry being the main character – its quirky despite being a little dated.

One thing you will notice is the soundtrack which is rather addictive and engaging. Playable from 25p to £500 a spin, you will not get many wins in the base game with 10 times your stake to be the most you will win most times unfortunately.

However, your winning potential dramatically increases in the Buoy Bonus feature which can be played when you see 3 Lobster Mania logo symbols on reels 1, 2 and 3 simultaneously. You will begin by choosing a lobster which will determine how many buoy picks you will receive (either 2, 3 or 4).
You will then be taken to the next stage where you pick your buoys – each buoy will add at least 2 items to the trap. You will then see Lucky Larry pull items from the trap one at a time (a minimum of 2 for each trap). Each item will reward you with a cash prize ranging from 5 times to 250 times your line bet – in some cases, Larry will pull out garbage though!

The amount you will win depends on how many picks you initially are granted. For 2 picks, your win will range between 20 and 2,000 times your line bet. 3 picks gives you wins that range between 30 and 3,000 times your line bet whilst 4 picks will generate between 40 and 4,000 times your line bet.

However, if you trigger the Buoy Bonus feature on 2 paylines, a 2x multiplier will be applied to your winnings. All in all, there’s a maximum of 320 times your stake to be won in this quirky feature. It does take a while to play out but can be well worth it.

Lucky Larry’s Lobster Mania isn’t the best graphically and the soundtrack can get a little annoying but for some reason I really like it. The bigger wins will definitely come in the feature which tends to be quite generous when you eventually trigger it. There’s a sequel available in land based casinos but not available online yet. I recommend you also play Pharoah’s Fortune and Da Vinci Diamonds (both by IGT) which are also land based classics.
