Pixies of the Forest Video Slot Review
Pixies of the Forest is powered by IGT/WagerWorks and is a 5 reel video slot game with a mystical theme that features 99 paylines. There is a 2,000 coin jackpot which you can trigger by getting 5 Pixies of the Forest logo symbols. You can play from as little as 33p a spin to £99 a spin too.
It is a popular land-based slot which is called Fairies of the Forest by the way. Anyway, the slot has many exciting features including 3 in 1 betting – also known as Connected Lines feature. This means that whilst there are 99 possible paylines, you will only play 33 coins, earning you 3 paylines for every coin staked.
Pixies of the Forest also has the popular Tumbling Reels feature which can also be found on Da Vinci Diamonds. All winning symbol combinations will disappear from the reel window which then brings in replacement symbols tumbling from above. This means that you can win again and again on every spin. The Tumbling Reels feature is also available in the Free Spins Bonus feature which is described next.
The Free Spins Bonus feature is triggered by getting 3 Bonus symbols. You will then need to pick 1 of the Bonus symbols which will in turn reveal the number of free spins – this will range between 5 and 11 free spins. What is good about the feature is that the reels are richer than the base game as additional wilds have been added to the first 4 reels. The only downside is that you cannot retrigger additional free spins in the bonus round. Saying that, they can be extremely lucrative.
The payout on Pixies of the Forest is 94.50% which is high even though the slot is a medium variance slot – I found the wins to be of a decent size but fairly often. One thing I found about the game is that it’s a little slot, gameplay wise (I have the same problem with Da Vinci Diamonds). This is the one thing that puts me off so I’d rather play Cleopatra II (by IGT) or Gonzo’s Quest by NetEnt which has a similar concept (Avalanche Reels feature).
