Ash Gaming X Factor Jackpot Slot Review and Free Play

X Factor Jackpot: Demo

X Factor Jackpot Video Slot review

X Factor Jackpot is powered by Ash Gaming and has 5 reel and 20 paylines – it’s a progressive slot that gives you the chance to win 1 of 3 progressive jackpots. The game is based on the infamous television show and features the voiceover from Peter Dickson, contestants from previous seasons and plenty of bonus features. It can be played from as little as 20p a spin to as much as £100 a spin.

Firstly, let’s look at the Live Show Bonus feature – this can be triggered when you get 3 X Factor Bonus scatter symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 simultaneously. The feature is then divided into 10 weeks with a contestant from previous series of the X Factor being chosen and will receive 4 votes. Each ‘Yes’ vote gives you a cash prize.

As you play the feature, the cash prizes come with a multiplier – weeks 3 & 4 have a 2x multiplier, week 5 has a 3x multiplier, week 6 has 4x multiplier, week 7 has a 5x multiplier, week 8 has a 10x multiplier, week 9 has a 20x multiplier and week 10 (the final) has a massive 50x multiplier.

You can only progress to the next week though if you get 3 or more ‘Yes’ votes. In terms of the progressive jackpots, you need to look out for the phone symbol at the end of each week. 4 phone symbols will give you the bronze progressive jackpot, 5 will give you a silver progressive jackpot and 6 will give you the gold progressive jackpot.

Then you have the Microphone Pick Me Bonus feature which is activated when you get the Microphone scatter symbol on the middle reel (reel 3). You will then choose from 3 ‘Pick Me’ symbols which will reveal an X Factor contestant and subsequently a cash prize.

Lastly you have the Free Spins Bonus feature which is played when you get 3 Free Spins CD scatter symbols on reels 2, 4 and 5 simultaneously. Each CD symbol gives you a number of free spins which are then added up and give you your total number of free spins. Look out for the X Factor logo which can fly across the reels. When it lands on a position, it will turn the symbol into a wild symbol which remains sticky through the feature. In total, there’s up to 20 free spins to be won.

The X Factor Jackpot slot is an average slot game in my opinion – I found it to be low to medium variance with the bigger wins tending to come in the Free Spins Bonus feature. This is due to the sticky wilds mainly. I found the Microphone Pic Me Bonus feature a tad boring though as it’s quite long winded.

If you like progressive jackpot slots, I would highly recommend Hall of Gods or Mega Fortune by Net Entertainment where you can win life-changing jackpots. If you like slots based on television shows, you should try Game of Thrones by Microgaming.
