IGT (full name International Game Technology) announced yesterday that they have reached an agreement with Irish gambling operator Paddy Power to supply them with their mobile games. Paddy Power is the largest sports betting and eGaming operator in Ireland and the fastest growing in the UK.
Paddy Power has seen an increase in revenues from its mobile sportsbook product as a result, will offer IGT’s mobile games to their customers via PaddyPowerGames.com mobile site. Players currently have access to IGT’s games via web applications such as the iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Android.
Initially, the agreement outlines the offering of 6 IGT mobile games including Cleopatra, Wipeout, 20+ Blackjack, Rainbow Riches Pots of Gold, Jacks or Better Video Poker and Monopoly Multiplier.
Gideon Bierer, who is IGT’s executive vice president of Interactive said of the agreement: “Adding IGT’s leading titles to its existing games mix will help Paddy Power fully maximize its burgeoning mobile platform…..” “….this popular assortment of games will also allow the company to continue growing its mobile gaming business.”
Mike Phelan who is the business development manager at Paddy Power Games said that “an increasing proportion” of their customers “are transacting via mobile games”. Talking about the agreement with IGT, he commented: “Improving our mobile games portfolio at paddypowergames.com is necessary for us to continue to build on this trend and keep up with increasingly sophisticated consumer demands.”
