DublinBet Named as Bohemian FC Shirt SponsorDublinBet.com has signed a shirt sponsorship agreement with Irish Premier League football club Bohemian FC for the remainder of 2011.

DublinBet.com will be on the club’s official home shirt for the Airtricity Irish League 2011 as well as the Ford FAI Cup 2011. The DublinBet.com logo appeared on the home shirt last week in their game against Olimpija Ljublana.

The agreement also includes advertising on the perimeter boards in the stadium, inclusion in the match day programme and obviously online on the Bohemian FC’s website and social media channels.

On Bohemian FC’s website, they stated that the club “receives a generous commission for every person signed up through the club” and that playing at DublinBet.com will be “supporting” the club’s finances.

Paul Derwin, who is the Marketing Manager at DublinBet.com, said that when they heard that Bohemian FC were looking for a new shirt sponsor they “jumped at the chance to support the Bohs and put something back into the Dublin community”.

He went on to say that DublinBet.com is “as passionate about live online gaming as the Bohs fans are about their team so it makes for a perfect partnership”. Matt Devaney, Commercial Director of Bohemian FC, said they were “delighted” to have DublinBet.com “on board” for the remainder of the season and is positive the partnership will be beneficial to both parties.

Gambling companies sponsoring football teams seems to be the new trend lately. As reported on CasinoManual.co.uk, Wigan signed a shirt sponsorship deal with 12Bet earlier this month whilst BetDaq become Celtic’s online betting partner. Bodog Europe also signed a shirt sponsor deal with West Brom. The bigger deals saw Genting Casinos become Aston Villa’s shirt sponsor and 32Red continuing their deal with Swansea City.
