eCOGRA, who looks to protect players by implementing fair and responsible gambling policies, have achieved 2 milestones as they have been approved as testing agency for the Italian regular AAMS as well having their systems approved by ISO.
eCOGRA, who are London based, was approved by the International Organisation of Standards (ISO) further to complying with systems-orientated requirements and standards. ISO is a Geneva based international standards authority which is world renowned.
The accreditation from ISO was awarded on the 22nd of July 2011 – known as ISO/IEC 17025:2005. This means that eCOGRA have been approved as a reputable testing agency for numerous European gambling jurisdictions.
Further to this good news, eCOGRA has been approved as a testing agency for the Italian regular AAMS (Amministrazione Autonoma Monopoli di Stato).
eCOGRA can now act to monitor and test remote gambling platforms, random number generators and gaming operator applications so they comply with the technical standards that are set by the AAMS. This means that online gambling operators who have been subject to eCOGRA will have confidence going into the Italian market.

The eCOGRA CEO also said that they expect to reveal approval from more jurisdictions shortly and welcomes approaches from gambling operators who are interested in being approved in regulated markets such as Italy.
